Format: This is a team event. One soldier and one boater will be paired together and may share fish.

Schedule and Check-In
There will be a check-in and social Friday, September 26th at 8:00pm at Lake Fork Marina. All participants must be at this meeting unless other arrangements have been made with the tournament director. Soldiers will be paired with their boaters, we will go over the rules and answer questions. Soldiers, wear uniforms if possible.

Awards and prizes
You must return to the weigh-in site at the end of the day before the designated time for your flight! A representative of the tournament will be at the dock. Find this person and let them know your boat number.
Weigh-in will be held at Lake Fork Marina.
Slot limits: Eligible Fish
Lake Fork has a five (5) fish daily limit. Only fish less than 16” and longer than 24”may be retained. Additionally, only one (1) bass 24” or longer may be retained. All fish measuring over 16” and less than 24" must be released immediately. Fish are measured with mouth closed and the tail extended to its maximum length. The official measuring board for this event will be the "Golden Rule. There will be a tournament official available at the weigh-in for any questions relating to weigh-in disputes. His decision will be final.
Only Black Bass (Largemouth and Spotted Bass) will be weighed for the bass awards/prizes.
Catfish, and crappie will each be weighed separately.
Anglers must use weigh-in bags. Weigh-in bags must contain sufficient water to completely cover the fish.
Over-the-slot fish must be transported to the scales in their own separate bag.
All fish entered in this event must be caught during the event hours listed above to be eligible for awards and prizes.
All bass weighed in will become the property of the tournament and will be released back into the lake alive if possible.
Only live bass will be weighed-in during the event. You may weigh-in fish at any time during the tournament. Every effort must be made to keep bass alive through the use of a properly aerated live well. The use of chemical live well additives which promote the healthy return of bass to their natural habitat are recommended. NO DEAD BASS WILL BE WEIGHED.
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or adult with written parental permission.
A completed rules sheet and an entry form with signature on both must be received before fishing.
All boaters and non-military participants must ensure they have a valid Texas Fishing License. Military personnel are exempt from purchasing a fishing license for this event. There is no fee for military personnel to participate in this event. However, a valid military ID must be presented.
All State, Federal, and local lake regulations shall apply at all times
TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT:
All fish must be caught by rod and reel. No trolling with big motor. Contestant may use only one rod at any one time.
Live bait may be used .
Sportsmanship and Conduct:
All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages during fishing hours is prohibited.
Any contestant determined to be intoxicated or on any type of illegal drugs or in violation of tournament rules will be disqualified from this and all future TASF and Lindale B.A.S.S. Club events.
BOAT INSPECTION:
All boaters, by entering this tournament, hereby agree their boats to be legal tournament boats including, but not limited to, their boat registration, liability insurance, Coast Guard horsepower rating plate, and boat contents to include lights, life jackets, PFD's and safety equipment. Boats must have a factory installed, operational live well with an aeration system.
Permitted Fishing Locations:
Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters accessible by boat, except areas designated as "off limits" or "no fishing" by state or federal officials, or within 50 yards of a marina or a competitor's boat which was first anchored or tied up unless otherwise agreed upon by the other tournament angler. Bank fishing is permissible.
Safety:
Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a fastened (fully zipped and/or all clips fastened), U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device anytime the combustion engine is in operation from boat check until weigh-in. All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut-off device, which must be securely attached to the driver's body any time the combustion engine is in operation. The driver must be seated in the driver's seat anytime the combustion engine is engaged in gear.
Tournament days may be shortened or canceled due to unsafe weather or any conditions that would endanger the safety of the competitors at the tournament director's sole and absolute discretion.
Ties: In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by which angler weighed-in the winning fish first.
I have read and understand the rules for the “Take a Soldier Fishing on Fork” fishing event. I hereby agree to be bound by and comply with all tournament, federal, and state rules and regulations. I expressly assume all risk (s) associated with this event and I hereby release Lindale Bass club, the host marina, all sponsors, and tournament officials, including, but not limited to each of their respective employees, officers, directors, managers, members, volunteers, insurers and representatives from all claims or injury and/or damage arising out of, or related to and/or incurred in connection with this event (s). I hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Releasees from and against any and all demands, claims, causes of action, (including, but not limited to, causes of action in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, and specifically including, but not limited to, any claim of negligence and/or fault of any Releasee) , fines, penalties, damages, liabilities, judgments, and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) incurred in connection with or arising out of my participation in the Take a Soldier Fishing on Fork/Lindale B.A.S.S. Club sponsored event. I hereby grant Lindale Bass Club, the unconditional, royalty free, perpetual, right and license to use my name, voice, and photographic likeness in connection with Take a Soldier Fishing on Fork and Lindale Bass Club promotions, television shows, and/or articles and press releases. I agree that I am not entitled to receive any royalties or other compensation in connection with such use. I further understand and agree that the tournament director reserves the right to reject my application for any reason. I agree that I have sufficient health, accident, and liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage incurred by myself or others as a result of my participation in any Lindale Bass Club sponsored event. If I have no such insurance, I declare that I am capable of paying for any and all such expenses or liability. I understand that I am responsible for paying all local, state, and federal taxes, title, license and registration as a result of my participation in the Take a Soldier Fishing event.
By signing this document I am agreeing that I have read the waiver release above. I am signing it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
